This creative competition is all about YOU. We want to see YOUR photographs, YOUR artwork and read YOUR stories, and make the winners our guests of honour at the Bizarre Ball on 10 October 2008 (stay tuned to Bizarre magazine and Bizarremag.com for more details on this amazing event). We get hundreds of drawings, letters and photos from our readers every month, and we know that Bizarre fans are a creative, imaginative and twisted bunch. And now's your chance to prove it!
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR...
This is a chance to show off your photography skills, and is inspired by the Photo Assault feature in every issue of Bizarre. Any snaps you send us must be striking, original and tell an interesting story. They could be pictures you took on holiday or set up in a studio or on location, but must not be digitally manipulated (tweaked pics can be entered in the Bizarre Art category, below). If you're taking girlie snaps, don't enter them here - check out Bizarre's Ultra Vixens instead
If the picture needs to be explained, include a short paragraph with your submission. But no more than 100 words, please.
No digital manipulation! Digitally manipulated images can be entered in the Bizarre Art category.
Nothing racially or sexually offensive, please. Be sensible - if you couldn't print your image in a newsstand magazine, or feel comfortable displaying it in public, we won't accept it. Still - don't hold back!
To enter the Bizarre Photography category, you can use the upload button at the top of this page, or else email your entry as an attachment to Howbizarre@dennis.co.uk. You can also post your entry to this address: How Bizarre Are You? Bizarre, Dennis Publishing, 30 Cleveland Street, London W1T 4JD.
Drawings, paintings, sculptures, digitally manipulated photographs, twisted taxidermy, woodcuts, collages... anything, really. So long as it's weird and interesting - and you made it yourself - we'll take it.
Sculptures and other 3D submissions are welcome, but if they're big, don't send them in - we only have a small office! Email us a digital
snap instead.
Include a photograph of yourself with your entry.
Don't send in original artwork if it's precious to you - we'll probably lose it. Send us a copy, scan or photograph instead.
Nothing racially or sexually offensive, please. Be sensible - if you couldn't print your image in a newsstand magazine, or feel comfortable displaying it in public, we won't accept it. Still - don't hold back!

So you want to write for Bizarre? Then show us what you're made of. If you can write an article about an event that lets people feel as if they were actually there, you'll stand a good chance of winning.
If you have any photographs of you taking part in your Bizarre True Story, include them with your entry - essentially, try to supply all the materials we'd need to print a feature in Bizarre.

Sexist, racist or (overly) offensive entries will be disqualified. If you're a professional writer or journalist, you'll be barred from entering the Bizarre Fiction and Bizarre True Stories categories. If you're a professional artist or photographer, don't waste your time entering Bizarre Photography or Bizarre Art. This competition is for Bizarre readers and a way to discover new talent - if you're already making money from similar work, we won't accept your entry. Let some new blood have a chance!
