Do you have an amazing act? A sensational show? We’re looking for the best burlesque divas, variety performers, comics, dancers, and the most satirical and saucy stars in the Bizarre galaxy.

Bizarre has teamed up with the UK’s biggest name in burlesque, the Ministry of Burlesque, for the biggest ever nationwide search for weird talent.

To us, burlesque isn’t all nipple tassels and fans (although they might be present, of course). Instead, it’s more about tease, satire, entertainment and inventiveness.

We’re looking for acts to perform at the Bizarre Ball that break boundaries, make us laugh and, most importantly, entertain us.

Perhaps you compose rude songs that you deliver on a ukulele with a saucy smile, or dance a mean Charleston? If your act is unique or unusual, get in touch. And boys! Feel free to enter, too. We want weird illusionists, strange stand-ups and one-off, indescribable acts. In short, we’re looking for performers who can make our skin prickle, our hair wiggle and our funny bone jiggle.

Only the bravest entertainers will be selected to do battle at our final audition in London. Participants will be selected from three ‘regiments’ and invited to participate. The regiments are:

l Bizarre’s Readers
l The MoB’s Movers & Shakers
l Recommendations from esteemed clubs and agents

The victors of each regiment will win a slot on the main stage at the Bizarre Ball, a place on a course at the MoB Academy, and a bunch of Bizarre goodies.

We’ll be holding auditions in London and Edinburgh this summer – we don’t have an exact date yet, so keep checking Bizarremag.com and Battleofburlesque.com for more details. However, to be considered for an audition you must email a video of your act to us beforehand (it doesn’t have to be a professional tape – camera phone footage shot by your friend will do).
