Who did it? Jef Wright, formally of Magnum Tattoo, now at Love Tattoo, Grand Rapids, MI, USA. He came up with the perfect design.

What is it? My three dogs, Mina the black lab, Sol the silver-coloured Weimaraner, and Bucca the reddish coloured Vizsla.

Why did you choose it? My three dogs are my best friends and I wanted a way to keep them with me for the rest of my life. I work at a private off leash dog park where I do therapy work with my dogs. They are a big part of my life, and I wanted my tattoo to reflect that.

What response do you get from people? Mostly positive. I have even had some people tell me that even though they don't usually like tattoos, they like this one. However, I do occasionally get someone who looks at me like I am some crazy dog lady who has lost her mind.

How did you feel about it now? It is my favourite tattoo, and I am as in love with it now as I was the day I got it. All three dogs are still with me, and as each one passes away I plan on adding some sort of symbol to honour their passing.
